While Life Imprisonment is tough, it's certainly better than receiving the Death Penalty but, before Sentencing, I hope the Judge makes Kohberger, at a minimum, explain why he did these horrible murders. There are no explanations, there is no NOTHING. People were shocked that he was able to plea bargain, but the Judge should make him explain what happened.."
How can the judge make him explain himself or say anything at all for that matter ? Can he make it part of the plea deal? Or even if it's twisted out of them and will it be meaningful ? will he be remorseful ? Or if he's a sociopath will it just be making things worse for the family ? He could say something very crude & mean ... he could even laugh or something. I mean maybe if they can get him to say something that's monitored before being live in court -something on a video or write it down, but if you're going to just let him speak ad hoc at the sentencing, you're just risking a fiasco.
