When & where: In the morning of August 27, 2025, during a Mass at the Annunciation Catholic School in the Windom neighborhood of Minneapolis.
What happened: A 23-year-old identified as Robin Westman—armed with a rifle, shotgun, and pistol, all legally obtained—opened fire through the church windows, targeting children seated in pews. Westman then died by suicide at the scene.

Fatalities: Two children, ages 8 and 10, died.
